Our mission is to bring the HBCU College Day to Metro Area Public Schools systems in Alabama, North Carolina, and Georgia - giving direct access to high school students seeking higher education and HBCU Juniors and Seniors seeking internships and career opportunities.
The Carters have teamed up with Tiffany & Co to pledge $2 million dollars in scholarships to students at Lincoln University of PA, Norfolk State University, Bennett College, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, and Central State University.
Zillow, in collaboration with United Negro College Fund (UNCF) and Black Tech Ventures (BTV), will host the HBCU Housing Hackathon to help HBCU students further develop their skills through workshops, hands-on enrichment, mentorship and teamwork.
NFL fans witnessed history this weekend, as the organization hired its first Black woman to officiate a game. Chaka, a graduate of the HBCU Norfolk State University, officiated the New York Jets verses Carolina Panthers game in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Emmy Award-winning television producer, Rushion McDonald, created the Hoodie Awards/Neighborhood Awards show to celebrate the stars of our community who uplift our neighborhoods. The HBCU Awards recognizes the positive impact of HBCUs, Institutions: churches, barbershops, and beauty salons, and Influencers on the African American culture in Business, Entertainment, and Education.
